Hey y'all!

Greetings from sunny St. Petersburg! We are so happy to have Monkey here with us for a few days especially since he brought some wonderful Canadian weather with him. It's supposed to be in the 30s tonight! Brrrrr! We had planned to take Monkey to the beach to see some other snowbirds, but it's too cold and windy today. So instead we played in the yard for a while:







We decided to take Monkey on a tour of some of our favorite local places. Here we are at Embellish, a great place for cute monogrammed totes, kid's stuff and party supplies.




Here's Monkey with the beautiful and stylish owner, Michelle B. Pardon my daughter's expression. I just told her we weren't buying anything today.



For a brief moment Monkey thought he was back home, then he realized this was just the shop's Bonanno's display:




We decided to go to the playground next, but first had to stop by The Cupcake Spot for a wee snack:




Here's Monkey with Spencer, keeper of the cupcakes. If you look closely you can see my favorite flavor, Butterscotch Babies, in the case directly below Monkey. YUM! To the left of those are the S'mores cupcakes. I could go on forever about cupcakes. But I won't.





Our favorite playground is near the St. Pete Yacht Club.

We could only stay a little while because it was pretty cold -- I bet with the wind chill it was only about 60!! Monkey enjoyed the sun until my son got hold of him and conducted an impromptu (and unwelcome) inspection:
