Lier Lier Pants on Fire!

Does she think we are s-t-u-p-i-d?!

As many predicted... no monkey!

Seriously it was bad enough that she ignored our requests to release Monkey but to BLATANTLY lie to our faces and tell us she shipped him back to Annapolis??

What is so freakin' hard to tape up a box and take him to the post office?

Unacceptable behavior.

Unacceptable.

Sorry to rant ladies but now I am just mad. Mad.

Can you give me her address? I will hunt her down!

This woman sucks.

Kate, you live in D.C., right? I would hate to put you in harm's way, but email me privately and we can discuss a possible rescue plan.

You know where to find me :)

I can't believe it! I think we should be told her name, former blog etc. Someone would be willing to go to DC.

I am pulling out the hubby's camo for the re-con mission. Oh wait you said Washington D.C. not WA State. Damn! And I was all ready to go all Rambo.

Wow. She's got some nerve.

What could her reason possibly be?

1) Lost (or - gulp - damaged) Monkey and is afraid to 'fess up.

2) Is keeping Monkey for her own to start her own Monkey World Tour, make blog friends, etc.

3) Is in bankruptcy/foreclosure and has no money to send Monkey home.

I think we can rule out coma/illness/hospitalization since Cindy actually talked to her.

The worst part - besides Monkey never making it to Florida, but that's just me - is that if something "bad" had happened to her (or Monkey) we'd probably be THE most understanding people in the world about it.

This is just crazy. File a missing monkey report - seriously she is a thief! No excuses. I guess Cindy will be getting back on the horn though I bet she won’t get her again. Seriously, what is this person hiding and why is she lying? That’s what I don’t understand.

I know!!!! I was worried this would happen.

Here's what's up now: She is not answering my calls to her cell phone. She's probably recognizing the number of that pesky woman in California. I did leave her a (very nice!!) phone message the end of last week telling her that we are concerned about her and are a kind forgiving group of people who just want our damn monkey back. No answer.

So I have her cell phone number (home number has been disconnected) and place of employment. I agree with Lisagh that it would be unethical to post this information on a public site, but if anyone would like it to (ahem) follow up, email me at cindy.fulton@ucpress.edu.

This is just nutty. I seriously think she has a mental problem. If it is the hostess I think it is, she hasn't posted to her regular blog since July 23rd.

My hubs is a lawyer, I'll ask him if there is anything you can do. What a psycho.

I am in DC too - tell me if you need help.

This Money-napper obviously enjoys being the center of attention ... why else who you not want to give him back?
Woman - grow up and send Monkey on his way. How pathetic of you to ruin this fun little adventure. Do you really enjoy being hated on this much?

Is her blog still up and running? If nothing else, we should all know who her cyber personality is!

This just makes me sad, the kids were looking forward to hosting Monkey.

I had my computer crash 3 weeks ago and just now got it back and flew to this and Lisaghs site to see if Monkey was found and now still no sign of Monkey.Would somebody email me and fill me in on what has been happening???This is about to reallly piss me off!! Sorry for the crassness but stealing and lying and making my daughter sad because there isnt going to be a Monkey visit makes me upset!!!

I think it's a good idea to cruise by her place of employment just to make sure if she is you know, able to walk or has both hands because that clearly indicates she is ABLE to pass Monkey on to the next person...if she can't spare the minimal amt. for postage I am sure Kate or someone else would pick him up! I just don't get it.

Lisagh- if Kate can't go get himl, I will...I'm 15 mins outside of DC and willing to drive!

It's all about karma....I wouldn't want to be on the tail end of what is comin' at this person for being a big lying thief.

I guarantee you she has lost monkey or done something stupid with him and damaged/destroyed him and just doesn't want to admit it. Nobody could be that stupid. She knows exactly what she's doing. If I were close to DC I would do the recon mission, but will trust it to your capable hands!!! Godspeed!!!!

I'm not one to call folks out; however, the person who has Monkey has issues beyond issues.

I so want Monkey to be returned safe, sound, and soon. I'm heading to Africa in the near future months and I want to take him along our journey.

Dear Monkey-naper, please return Monkey soon. Sincerly, the Cocoprincess' Mom.

I hate to admit it, but I think Midnight Madras may be right. And I'm pretty sure I know which hostess it is, and what kills me is that when she got him, she posted, and then laid out all the plans she had for him following that. Then nothing...I'm so sorry Lisagh. This just isn't the way people should conduct themselves. If something went wrong or Monkey is simply gone, then at least be honest. Someone's dog chewed a hole in Monkey, and the hostess fessed up immediately! Hey Monkey Napper, take a page out of that book!!

I have wondered if maybe her 7th grade students monkey-napped our friend. But even a 7th grader would eventually put out a ransom note.

I think someone should contact our new president-elect. Surely his 2 cute daughters would LOVE to host Monkey in the White House - now how great would that be????

I feel like this is turning into some kind of international incident.

Canadian Monkey comes to U.S. to visit and gets lost, kidnapped, held hostage, etc. in the nation's capital of Washington D.C.

Please let monkey go!
