We headed off to meet the 'rents at our favorite pizza place, Pat's.
Monkey indulged in a large cheese pizza with bananas on top and a pint of Vacationland summer ale. Refreshed, we headed up the road. When we arrived in Freeport, Monkey told us how excited he was to visit LLBean, as he'd heard so many good things about it from his prep friends. We wasted no time showing him around. He insisted on posing for the requisite shot with the boot before we went inside.
We went into the big house and paused while Monkey decided what he wanted to see first.
He decided that he'd like to check out the fish tank. He wasn't sure what to make of the fish, but Man highly recommended checking out the viewing bubble and Monkey wasn't disappointed.
ManMom and ManDad had some shopping to do, so we pressed on to the travel and camping departments. While they looked around, Monkey did some browsing of his own.
Of course, Monkey couldn't leave LLBean without trying on a pair of Bean boots. He declared that they would be perfect for those cold Winnipeg winters, but wasn't sure if they'd go with his pearls. I told him not to be silly...that's a can't-lose combination.
We headed out to the car to call it a night, but not without stopping in the small park in front of the store to introduce Monkey to the man himself - ol' LL.
Monkey hit the sack soon after we got home. He said that he'd had great fun that evening but that he was very much looking forward to a relaxing weekend at the camp. Tune in tomorrow when Monkey lives it up camp style.

This is FANTASTIC! I especially love the look of him in the Bean boots. Fabulous.
Yea for Monk!
what a great tour!!! Lucky monkey :)
Bean boots and pearls, a great combo! What FUN!
Haha! I remember the first time this southern Calif. beach girl saw a pair of those boots. I had just moved to Boston and couldn't believe everyone was wearing such awful looking things. 'Course six months later I was too. They're classics. Too bad they don't come in a teeny monkey size!
It looks like he had a great outing. Camp ho!
LL Bean He must have loved.
