While We Wait...
...to hear of Monkey's next great adventure, I just had to share an announcement about one of Monkey's newest sisters!
While some of you may have seen her on the amazing Sian's Etsy Store, I'm waiting to post her official debut until she makes her way across the pond.

I'm so excited about the newest addition to the Diva family. Of course, because I have my own boys, I requested a girl for adoption. She's a Diva, so she'll fit in nicely. Her name is Beatrice.
Beatrice juggles the hectic life of working monkeyhood, raising her three monkeycubs alongside authoring five novels, one of which made the Monkey Times Besteseller List 2008. She also finds the time to act as patron to several charities close to her heart, overseeing the organisation of two annual charity dinners which raise much needed funds and publicity for sock monkeys in need.
Can't wait to introduce her to you all when she arrives!

Update from Lisagh
Just in case anyone is worried about Monkey's whereabouts, I heard from his current hostess yesterday. She had an unfortunate family issue last weekend, so her touring plans were postponed for a week. She promises to have a wonderful weekend planned for Monkey and updates for all of us very soon.

Monkey's Big Weekend
Monkey had an action packed weekend! Friday night he accompanied me to a Braves exhibition game.

We were able to get a few quick shots around the stadium.

This is a tribute to Hank Aaron's home run record.

And for Baseball fans, my husband had Monkey recreate the "Sid slide" play...whatever that means. :)
Saturday Monkey found himself road tripping it with us. My husband is part of a mentor program for "at risk" youth. He had to go to a training session in Fort Stewart, GA. Monkey tagged along. And witnessed history.

Monkey witnessed me getting my first ever speeding ticket. SIGH. I'm not even a speeder, but I was on this road for 30 minutes with nothing in sight. I just wasn't paying attention and went a little over the speed limit. Which is a no-no on base. Monkey and my husband had a great laugh over this one.

Monkey on base at the youth academy.
Once we left the base, we went to Savannah for a little getaway. I know, Monkey already visited Savannah.

He still had fun, especially hanging out on the hotel balcony!
Back in Atlanta, we visited a few fun spots in downtown.

Here is a view of downtown.

The CNN Center as seen from Centennial Olympic Park.

Centennial Olympic Park.

The Georgia Aquarium.

The Coke Museum.

Another one in the city.
So today Monkey is a bit tired and will spend the day resting before he heads off to Tennessee.
I may sneak in one more photo session with Monkey and Winston! :)

Ahhhh Choo!
Someone send Monkey a Claritin, STAT! The poor guy isn't too sure about Atlanta. It rained all day yesterday, and today he can barely walk outside without his head exploding. Who knew monkey had allergies?

The pollen is outrageous. Or at least that is what Monkey said.
Even though everything blooming is gorgeous...

We have sightseeing plans for later today and this weekend.
Oh, and just for the dog lovers out there...My dog is in love with Monkey.

Who's In The House? Who's In The House?
Monkey's in the hou-house! Monkey has arrived in suburban Atlanta. Woo Hoo! Since he just arrived this evening, we haven't done much.
Introductions were made...

(Whoa, watch the ear Winston.)
And a nice unhealthy southern meal served...

Oh, fried chicken and fruit punch isn't the norm at your house?!
I'll properly show Monkey around town over the next few days!
