Dear Friends of Monkey,
It's 8:28 and the USPS and UPS man have come and gone - no monkey.
Here's hoping for tomorrow!

Hoping and praying...
Word on the street is Monkey should be making his way back to Annapolis...
If it's true I'll be waiting for our friend and plan to give him a little TLC before sending him on his way to the West Coast. I am sure he will need to stretch his legs and arms a bit after his 2 month long (mis)adventure in Virginia!
I'll keep you all posted... so far no sign but my fingers are crossed!!!

Nick & Nora Sock Monkey Slippers
I never take pictures in stores but I made an exception just this once given the absence of any real Monkey visit posts due to the rudeness of one mean monkey-napper.

Available at Target.

Do you think? . . . Nah.
No, it's not, but for just a minute, my heart took a jump.

I did get a smile though looking at this young man and his obviously well-loved monkeys. They clearly mean a lot to him, and he was happy to pose for a picture when I explained that I have a special interest in sock monkeys.
Lees: Could you please just email me her address or blog url so I rain shit on her head? No? I know, I know: It's not ladylike. It's just so hard sometimes.

One More Round...
Sung to the tune of "Greensleeves"...
Alas, mean hostess, you did us wrong
By stealing Lisagh's monkey.
Why did you kidnap him, tell us now.
Or we will keep singing to you.
Monkey was all our joy,
Monkey was our delight.
Monkey had a heart of gold
And we traveled through him vicar'ously.
We really don't care why you felt the need
To take away our joy like that.
We feel so bad for Lisagh dear
And Paris and Boston the little cats.
Monkey was all our joy,
Monkey was our delight.
Monkey had a heart of gold
And we traveled through him vicar'ously.

Maybe he isn't LOST at all.....

I refuse to believe Monkey is gone forever.
Another of my well traveled friends spotted this character on her trip to the Caribbean.
Could it be????? Maybe Monkey isn't being held hostage by a heartless blogger... Maybe she sent Monkey out on some adventures of his own. Monkey, if you are reading this.... we have a great itinerary planned for you! Please come back!
